Klein Attitude MTB - 1990s dream bike
The Klein name alone immediately conveys cool.
Was it the oversized tubes, the iconic paint, the one hanging on the set of Seinfeld? Maybe it was all of that and more.
There's a great historical piece on the first Klein Attitude here. What you're looking at is a later '95 model that has been resurrected thanks to the owners passion - and the spray gun of SunGraphics.
It's mostly period appropriate with the exception of the bars, which along with the frame and Marzocchi Bombers - have been painted to suit the build.
My own memories of this bike were seeing them hung way up high in Cecil Walker on Elizabeth street. I scored a pair of the Tioga Tomac PSYCHO tyres/tires at one of the legendary VicMTB sales and they remain the sketchiest treads I've ever rolled on. The paltry amount of travel on the forks is more akin to what you'll see on gravel bikes these days but it sure seemed amazing for its time.
