It all started with a camera and a simple greeting - “Ciao.”
FYXOmatosis was born from Andy White’s travels, his love of cycling culture, and his knack for storytelling. Inspired by the quirks and character of track bikes, he helped put 'fixies' on the map in Australia, and part of the global trend. Then turning his attention to classic steel racing bikes, Andy began documenting his builds and cycling adventures under the moniker fyxomatosis, a playful nod to the infectious nature of the cycling 'disease'.
What started as a passion project soon gained traction, attracting a community of like-minded humans who shared his appreciation for adventures in the saddle.
What sets FYXO apart is the personality, authenticity and extensive global network of bike dorks we have intermingled with over the past 2 decades. Many brands talk it - few can say they've walked it.
With all events like the famous Melburn Roobaix, the Australia Custom Bicycle Show, Bike Swap Meets, Gravel Camp and more; every FYXO experience has a story, and it's a no-drop kind of ride.

St Valentine Massacre
FYXO's first crack at hosting event was thrust upon them after winning the year prior, such was the tradition.
True to form, Andy broke the mould of 'messengers only' and opened the gates to all, hosting the largest 'Massacre' in Vancouver and the history of the event.
Melodie took polaroid of riders at one of the checkpoints and a non-messenger took the glory to the sulks of those who didn't win.
A fantastic first time result.

It Might Get Epic
An early adopter of big one day adventure rides when gravel was a road surface and not a sector of the bicycle industry.
Over 100km of dirt with a LOT of vert! Meeting at a car park in Plenty Gorge with some croissants to start - some big names of the bike scene came along including Nik C (Dirty Deeds), Sarah Hammond and Jesse Carlsson (Curve Cycling).
Gravel Camp
Ahead of the curve again, FYXO hosted the first Gravel Camp in 2018 at Rubicon at Camp Jungai with a incredible route, combined with campfires and delicious cuisine.
2019 was postponed due to the bushfires, and 2020 was killed by COVID.

Australian Custom Bicycle Show
The first of its kind, highlighting only Australian manufacturing was held by FYXO in 2012 in a South Melbourne photo studio, with 1000 attending over the weekend.
Rebranded as the Handmade Bicycle Show Australia with FYXO as media partner until 2024.
Melburn Custom Bicycle Show
To coincide with the 10th Melburn Roobaix, a blend of cool collectible bikes and handmade builders converged at DISC Velodrome.
En Masse
Melburn's first Bicycle FLASHMOB event at Liaison Cafe promoting the Melbourne Bike Share program. Over 200 people popped up on the blue bikes for a coffee and good time.
Bicycle Swap Meets
Since 2003 we've been hosting Bicycle BUY, SWAP AND HAGGLES.
Seven Deadly Sins Alleycat
If you hadn't already sinned, this ride was a tour of all of them.
Gluttony was eating pizza, lust was a peep-show, and on it went!
Tour De Melburn
FYXO's summer event was a scavenger hunt of Melbourne's lesser known destinations and activities, taking snap shots of places to prove you were there, with some timed activations to ensure the riders regrouped throughout the day.
Over 500 attended the innaugural event which finished at the World Famous Brunswick Veldrome.
