Bastion Cycles CROSSROAD | Handmade Bicycle Show Australia 2019
A Bold New Era
Bastion Cycles expanded their line-up with the official launch of the CROSSROAD 'gravel suited' model at the HBSA.
A diversion from the tarmac road line up Bastion launched witb, the signature bold carbon weave and lightweight titanium lugs gave way to a fully painted frame.
A definite crowd favourite.
SRAM Force eTAP group, ENVE G23's with Panaracer GravelKings, Enve cockpit and Reform saddle.
The freshly painted bike came paired with the Silca Super Pista Ultimate and Carswell leather tool roll - and like most bike shows the owner was patiently waiting for the show to end - and take it on it's first ride.
Listen to James Woolcock - Head Engineer and Bastion Co-founder talk about the bike on show.
Also on the Bastion stand during the show was Simon Gerran's new Superleggera road disc.

The first ride report is in - and it’s 👌 _ “I actually can’t fault it. It is stunning. People just stop and stare at it. My first impression of the ride is really impressive stiffness out of the saddle, but with none of the harshness I would normally expect from a bike so stiff. The fit is perfect and the handling is better than anything I have ridden throughout my career. Even though it was my first ride I already felt like I could descend quicker than ever. It delivers so much confidence, you just tip it in and it holds its line beautifully with the front and rear perfectly balanced.” - @simongerrans _ Massive thanks to everyone involved in making this first impression such a great one. @riderfitcc @bikes_by_steve @shifterbikes @veloatelier @theservicecourse _ #BastionCycles #ABoldNewEra #TheNewStandard #EngineeringANewArtForm 📷 @tristantakephoto
