The start is off the Darebin Creek Trail at the eastern end of Rossmoyne Street, Thornbury.

By car:

If you are driving and want to park between the start and finish - Northcote Plaza MAP is halfway between start / finish and has a large carpark behind the Police Station.

From there it's an easy cruise in an easterly direction on Christmas St to the Darebin Creek Trail - right past Outer Circle Social Club for a pre-start coffee!

Grey ticket or Yellow ticket - BOTH are valid.
You need to present your ticket at registration to collect your rider pack.

- Bring PHOTO ID

- Bring any proof of your ticket purchase(s)

- Wait in line - We will be processing those with tickets FIRST.

If you are feeling unwell the morning of 26 June 2022, please take a Rapid Antigen Test and isolate until a negative result is shown.

There will be a 'Covid Station' at Registration / Event Village with hand sanitiser and sterilisation wipes for you to use freely.

St.Johns First Aid will be at the Event Village (Roobaix Velodrome) from 1:00pm to 4:00pm to treat minor injuries.

We strongly suggest a good sense humour as this event is SERIOUS fun.

Items which may be useful on the day:

- Your bike and helmet.

- A warm jacket.

- Gloves.

- Spare socks (cold feet is zero fun)

- Cash or card.

- Phone.

- Battery bank to recharge phone.

- Bike tools.

- Pump and spare tube(s).

- Bike lock (for long lunch stops)

Welcome! You'll get a rider pack with your map, manifest (question checklist), and other goodies once you've shown your ticket at registration.

The map is a good ol' fashioned printed map, like the Melway that you might have grown up with.

-

The chillest route is marked on the map to guide you from sector to sector, but it's up to you how you get to each one, or if you choose to skip some, have a long lunch and take a shortcut to the finish.

-

The chillest route is NOT a closed course to other vehicles and you need to consider other road users and road laws at all times.

-

The Roobaix route is approximately 38km~ in distance and incorporates the cities great network of bike paths, bike lanes, dirt lanes, singletrack, and of course - cobblestone alleys.

The route will be available ON THE DAY on arevo and you could win a $500 gift certificate just for using it. There's also a QR code on the map to get the route on strava.

If you didn't complete the course, you will be eligible for prizes if your manifest is in the raffle barrel by 3.30pm.

The exception is the grand prize of Winner of Melburn Roobaix may only be won by a complete and correct manifest AND you must be present to win!

Dress appropriately for the long day outside.

It may be wet underfoot at the start AND finish. If it rains, you may get wet.

Keep your eye on the forecast from BOM in the lead up to event day.

Unless there is a state issued weather emergency, the ride will go ahead.

Your bicycle must be safe to ride and not a hazard to yourself or others.

Beyond that - ride whatever you like!

Road, gravel, singlespeed, tandem, unicycle, MTB, BMX, trike, new school, retro cool, classic, and yes - ebikes are welcome because all bikes are varying degrees of awesome.

There will be a prize for the CRAZIEST CONTRAPTION. It might even be a jar of Mum's Roobaix Raspberry jam.

Lil' FYXO will be awarding a prize for her favourite too. She loves rainbows and unicorns.
