Brendyn Rogers of Brenvelo has a breadth of experience with plywood and composites and had two bikes on display at the Handmade Bicycle Show Australia.
Working with his talented son Joel - of Woodbeast, the 'show' bike is gravel in spirit and adventure ready.
Keeping it in the family, the bike is designed to accomodate bags by Framework Designs constructed by Joel's partner, Tia. The super sleek design of the bike integrates the bag fittings for a clean look when bags are not necessary, eliminating the need for straps and other methods of attachment that wear through paint over time.
Brendyn explained the frame construction as using 'two boomerangs' meeting at the headtube for a strong frame and pleasing aesthetic.
The GXR Race carbon fork is from the Curve line up.
The bike features a Shimano 1x XT drivetrain and stoppers, Jones loop bars, Thomson post, and Brooks Cambium bicycle chair.
Melbourne based Curve hoops also feature with the GRAV AL 650b wheelset which uses the ultra-reliable DT350 hubs, and Donnelly X'Plor MSO Adventure Tyre in the 50c width.
Listen to Brendyn talk about the bike on show.
