From the spare parts draw - a project required nothing less than black for the seat post.  

Campagnolo never produced a Corsa C Record pillar in black but that doesn't mean you can't make it happen.   Arguably the most elegant of all Campagnolo's groupsets if not all, they were released in various finishes including the rare CENTURY grey and Croce d'Aune, but the seat pillar strangely never got the same treatment.

DIY

Find a near perfect 27.2 seat post - Strip, polish and post to the platers for a 'as pitch' anodised layer.

The steel fixing bolt wasn't anodised and provides a nice highlight.

I'd give the finish a solid 8.5.  Given the component was 20 years old to begin with it's a solid result.  

Anodising anything individually isn't cost effective but where this is a will, there is a bill.
