There is no 'one' bike to ride. Road bikes, track bikes, MTBs, unicycles, long bikes, tall bikes, ladies bikes, touring bikes, tandems, bikes with trailers, cargo bikes with kids on board and yes - as far back as 2012 there have been e-bikes in the field.
The only trend has been crazier, whackier, louder and more fun bikes.
It doesn't matter what you choose ride - but it should be fully operational and be able to stop when needed so it doesn't jeopardise your safety and others so it adheres to the only rule of the event - Don't be a dick!
This is a self supported ride. If you can’t fix it yourself ask a fellow rider to come to your aid. Repay them in kind at the finish!
There's a few bike shops indicated on the map that are open Sundays and can assist.
If you are a member of RACV Bike Assist and hit dire straits - give them a call on 13 11 11.
Is that even possible?
If you can't find your way using the printed map, or the interactive Strava map - ask a fellow Roobaixer and be lost in good company.
