It wasn’t so long ago on the old FYXOmatosis site I posted images of this frameset and a story to go with.

The short version of that post is I emailed Richard about the frame trying to uncover an account of its history from the horses mouth.  What the email reply lacked in substance I concocted up as it’s well known you should never let the truth get in the way of a good story.

I managed to dig up an image of the bike when TK dropped it off.

TK wanted some TLC (time, labour, coin) to bring it up to speed – literally.   A period correct, understated tone was the brief and I’m pretty happy with the result.  The survivor parts were retained where appropriate and in suitable condition.  The frame is well used and it shows, but the original lustre of paint remains.

The AVA rim decals had perished, so images were taken, the artwork was created, vectorised and sent to the Godfather for reproduction.  Now they are on file should you need a set yourself.

Limited edition 12″ x 16″ prints of the bike are available in the shop.
